Series: Vikings lead series 13-12 and have won the last two meetings. Last meeting Vikings defeated Eagles 48-30 in December 2013

Inside Info: The Vikings are the hottest team in the NFL right now and after a torrid 5-0 start took their bye, but listening to Coach Mike Zimmer the Vikes are 0-0 and starting over. They face the Eagles whom they traded multiple high draft picks to acquire Sam Bradford. Carson Wentz has started his rookie season as a hot commodity but has cooled slightly. He faces his biggest challenge in the leagues best defense, a defense that has made life miserable for superstar quarterbacks like Aaron Rodgers, Cam Newton and Eli Manning.

Vikings win if: They put pressure on Carson Wentz from the outset, hit the rookie and make him gun shy right off the bat. Sam Bradford has to continue his peerless play. Zero turnovers is an unrealistic pace to be sure, but keeping the turnovers to a minimum and forcing a number of them will get the Vikes in a good position to take a rowdy Eagles crowd out of the game.

Opponents win if: Wentz can get comfortable and dink and dunk his way down the field. The Eagles defense can get to Bradford and at least pressure him into a number of forced throws which might lead to a mistake that could rattle him into more mistakes

The Final Call: The Vikings are playing like they are on a mission. I worried about this game three weeks ago, but I think that the Vikings roughhouse big play defense get to Wentz and force him into a couple rookie mistakes. Vikings games are rarely pretty and this will be no exception but it will be a win nonetheless
