Series: Vikings lead the series 7-5, won the last matchup 31-13 in November 2014 in Minneapolis. The Vikings won in their last visit to Bank of America Stadium in 2011 but are 1-2 in Charlotte over all

Inside Info: The Vikings are brimming with confidence after christening their new venue with a rowdy win over their hated divisional rival Green Bay Packers. The Vikings rode the strong play of Sam Bradford and Stefon Diggs. The win came at a high cost, as star RB Adrian Peterson went down with a knee injury and could be lost for the year. The Vikes also lost lineman Matt Kalil. The defense continues to shine, harassing Packers Aaron Rodgers into numerous errors and a game crushing interception. They face a dynamic QB in Cam Newton and a strong Panthers defense led by Luke Kuechly

Vikings win if: They keep Newton in 2 and 3rd and long situations, keep him contained in the pocket and not let him extend plays with his freelancing abilities. The Vikings have to keep Bradford upright and keep the running game in manageable situations. Get Stefon Diggs the ball and do that with consistency.

Panthers win if: Newton stays clean, is mobile and finds his receivers with regularity. The Vikings dont force turnover and let the fledgling Panther running game get settled and rolling.

The Final Call: Im not sold on the Vikings running game as of yet, while Sam is bringing a steady hand to the offense, the defense will have to do too much. Im not feeling good about this one today
