OAKLAND — The Giants have been playing with a skeleton crew in the past couple of weeks with several players out with injury. While that should never be an excuse in getting swept, it is a factor. That being said, the A’s have had ownage on the Giants in the past few match ups and have a great opportunity this evening to break out the brooms against a team that has one of the best records in baseball.

Madison Bumgarner will have a chance to avoid the sweep if he pitches well but he cannot do it all by himself; at least it’s a long shot because he can hit the ball. However, last night the Giants fielders made several errors that were the cause for at least a few runs that the A’s scored. The A’s are finally healthy and the Giants have gone the complete opposite direction.

Should the Giants win tonight behind the arm of their ace Madison Bumgarner, they can Men In Black flash themselves and pretend this series never happened as they move on to their next series against Arizona.

Dillion Overton for the A’s won his only game that he has pitched against the Angels on June 25th (7-3). Considering that the A’s are at full health, for the most part, and the Giants have several players out (Pence, Panik, Duffy, Romo, and others) it could very well wind up being a sweep. With players like Mac Williamson, Ramiro Peña, Rubèn Tejada, Conor Gillaspie filling in, they’ll all have to bring their bats tonight to avoid dropping four straight to their cross Bay rivals.

The game starts at 7:05pm at O.Co. [Bumgarner Vs. Overton].
